I just got Dungeon Siege at Fry's Electronics, here at SoCal for $19.99.

According to the box the requirements are a 450 Mhz processor and a 16mb vid card.

I got a dual 867Mhz G4 and a 64mb Radeon 9000 Pro vid card, 1GB ram and Mac OS X Panther 10.3.1.

I switched to billinear mode instead of trillnear mode and I'm using the 640X480 resolution with 16 bit color. Graphic Details is set to a little less the 50%. No matter what resolution or color (16 or 32 bit) the fps seems to be about the same. Gameplay is not very smooth at times. The game tends to "stutter" sometimes.

I got the latest patch from the MacSoft site.

Anyone have some tips on how to make the gameplay more smooth?

Other than running it over with a steamroller, I don't think this game will ever be smooth. I'm running it on a Dual 2 G5 and the stupid thing stutters all the time. Along with pretty regular crashes, it appears to be kind of buggy. Not sure there's a whole lot you can do.

Oh, and back up your saved games. I had a DS crash corrupt mine.
