I found this Icelandic page that lists a few classic games from yore. They are Mac OS X 'native' in a way - using the scumm engine, but each gathered in one neat package installer.

Download>unpack>run installer>run app.

That simple and it works

Enjoy.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

It is a grey area, but is it any different from The Underdogs where you can download much more games?

I don't think anyone's feathers are being ruffled by this. So kick back put that gear in reverse and hit it back to the 80s - when games were games, women were women and geeks were geeks (not like in Swordfish where hackers get a bj from a gorgeous femme while hacking into some system or in Hackers where Angelina Jolie is a geek!)

When Sierra On-Line was an independant company, not a subsidary.
When LucasArts was Lucasfilm Games.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Sure, in Monkey Island (1 & 2) press F5.

That will bring up save/load/quit menu.

It saves in /

These are just packaged ScummVM and FreeSCI ports with the game data. This is great because they're standalone.

But the FreeSCI port is still as crappy as the official (which isn't very official and was basically just a recompile by some guy called John on the mac.emulation.net boards) and doesn't have any sound.

Yes shame about the sound in the Sierra games .. =>

But they work =>

The ScummVM engine is good though. Supports sound and whatnot.
