Hi

Does any one know the names of some good
action SNES games?

I got a few like megaman and donkey kong
but thats about all I know.

I am not actually looking for where to get them
but just some recommendations.

thanx.

If you enjoy platform, side-scroller-type games, as I do, here are some of the best on the SNES platform (that I have tried, anyway):

Super Mario World
Yoshi's Island
Super Mario All-Stars (contains SNES updates of the old Super Mario Brothers NES games)
Donkey Kong Country 1
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
PowerBook G4/800
Mac OS X 10.2.8
512MB RAM/40GB HD
Combo Drive, Airport Card

~ Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars - my favorite game, on any platform, period. Funny, great music, best graphics on the SNES, unusual plot, phenomenal characters, fun battles... this is what video games are all about.

~ Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - the peak of 2D platformers.
~ Super Mario World - Almost as good as its sequel.
~ Earthbound - the most random, hilarious RPG ever. Cheerful and bizarre.
~ Mega Man X 1,2,3 - The peak of the Mega Man series. X3 in particular is awesome.
~ Chrono Trigger - Popularly regarded as the best RPG of all time.
~ Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Regarded by most Nintendo purists as the best game in the Zelda series. I agree!
~ Final Fantasy VI (FF3 here in the US) - The final 16-bit FF game... absolutely incredible.
~ Super Mario Kart - The first of the series, and perhaps still the best.
~ Donkey Kong Country 1,2 - Beautiful 2D platformers that shine in every way. DKC3 was iffy, though.
~ Uniracers - Control an empty unicycle along psychedelic tracks while doing bizarre tricks. So much fun!
~ Super Mario All-Stars - Mario's entire early history in one cartridge.
~ Secret of Mana - Square's foray into real-time RPGs. Awesome game.

That should keep you busy for a while

The SNES is my favorite platform
Be happy.

It was a great game. I still remember seeing it for the first time at our local Blockbuster. It came in the gigantic box with some other strange stuff inside of it. It's too bad the N64 version died... I wonder how much money was sunk into it before they pulled the plug.

Final Fantasy VI (3 in the US)
Yoshi's Island
Super Mario RPG
Super Mario World
Donkey Kong Country
Aladdin
Super Mario Cart (might have trouble emulating that one)

And for a supa-hard one: Super Ghouls and Ghosts.
