A Pismo should be able to run Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament if you knock the settings down a bit. Those are about as demanding as you can get on a Pismo.

Ambrosia Software makes a number of good 2D games that'll run well on the Pismo, like EV Nova and Deimos Rising. Those are both pretty fun.

Hope you get well soon, and maybe these games will help you pass the time better.

No, Pismos can't run Q3.... 8mb Video is much too low, trust me I've tried on a 400mhz Pismo . You could always just play some fun little arcade games

Well I was able to play UT on my Wallstreet, which only had 4 MB video. Although I had to turn down the resolution to 320x240...

If you want better frame rates, try Quake 2 instead. That should run buttery-smooth on a Pismo.

Quake 2 sounds like a good bet.
Also, don't limit yourself to 3D -- a good game of Diablo 2 (or 1) or Master of Orion 2 would be good times as well
Be happy.
