If anyone is playing Jedi Academy (not KOTOR), I'd like to know how the performance is on your specific machine. Thanks.

I guess my joke was too subtle - KOTOR isn't out for the Mac, so imploring folks to not report on it is a bit redundant.

I'm going sorta OT here

But I played Academy on the XBox and its my second best game I have (apart from KOTOR). Really cool saber fights .

I might buy it for my Mac for the online bit.

Performance isn't too great in jk3. Dual 2ghz G5/Radeon 9800 Pro OEM/4gb RAM gives 35-90fps in the first singleplayer level using 1600x1024. Especially in the second level it lags a lot with everything maxed out, probably below 25 fps there. Multiplayer is fine though, no noticeable lag there
Revenge is a meal best served cold.

Yash,
what about if you play at a smaller res like 1024x768? I know Iknow why would I want to do that? Humor me.

Disable light flares. They cause a huge performance hit in JA. I've been playing the game at 1024x768 with 6x MSAA and my first mission was the Bakura one. I was getting fps averages in the teens while playing it. Then I turned off light flares and my framerates for the particular scene I was looking at went from about 15 fps to 30-40 fps.

Update fixes some lag problems (you know where the sound and graphics stutters).

Those cows won't know what hit 'em. They won't know what hit them even after it hits them, because they're cows.
