I recieved Halo for Christmas from a friend who knew I was in the market for a new Mac laptop. Right now the choices are 12"iBook G4 640MB or 12"Powerbook (rev b) 768MB, does Halo play any better on one system then the other, seeing how the IB has a better card then the pb's, but then again the pb's processor is faster. I'd appreciate it if anyone could help seeing how this just might make my decision between the two a bit easier.

Halo performance is based on the GFX Card, so get the one with the best.

Graphics performance does differ significantly between the iBooks and the PowerBooks. See http://www.barefeats.com/ibG4b.html for the comparisons.

PowerBook.

Faster processor, and the graphics card is actually better for playing Halo - nVidia cards have been doing much better than ATI cards for Halo. The Radeon 9200 and FX 5200 are about even, but Halo has really poor support for ATI cards.

"That's Mama Luigi to you, Mario!" *wheeze*
