System 1: 1.8 G5 with 1.5 gigs mem, Radeon 9800 Pro (retail) and AE

System 2: P4 3ghz with 512mem. Radeon 9700 Pro and a Linksys wireless network card

Although I can create a server on either computer and get the other 'puter to join the game we are suffering from 'Connection Interrupted' errors all the time making it unplayable.

any ideas or fixes?

You mentioned one has a wireless connection - it could be that you're getting excessive interference causing it to drop a lot of packets. There are no known networking bugs in the Mac version of JK2, so an outside cause seems likely.

Turning off the OSX firewall seemed to cure it....even though I had the right port enabled/allowed.....go figure

I think there are multiple ports you need to open. One for game browser pinging, and one (maybe more?) for actual game client/server communication.
