Just upgrade my desktop to 10.3 (finally) and tried to re-install UTk3 and I get this error message:

It is recommended that you install Mac OS X v10.2.6 or later before installing Unreal Tournament 2003.
Seems nonsensical to me since it's running 10.3. I've tried the updated installer (found here) and I still get the same message. I also tried looking on Planet Unreal for suggestions but there's so much crap there every search turns up a OS flame war.

Is there a solution? Thanks.

Yeah, there is a solution. I believe you copy the installer from disc one to your desktop. Click on the installer and Show Package Contents. Then hunt for the installer inside the package. And run it from there. Or something like that. Someone else might have a more precise explanation.

Thanks man. that was all the input I needed.

Show Package Contents>Contents>MacOS>ut_setup

Double click on ut_setup and you're off.

Thanks again.

Those same instructions were at the link in your initial post in the Troubleshooting section.

Ha. Yep. My manuals don't get a lot of attention either. Chock another one up for being too impatient to read the full instructions.
