I would like to get some of the old nintendo games (mario and such) for my 4 year old, it's my understanding you can get emulators to play on the mac....can someone point me in the right direction and where to get some of the games?

or is this not correct?

Emulators can be found at http://www.emulation.net/

Games (roms) are generally illegal, so you are going to have to find those, yourself.

I've never heard of that. That's totally awesome.

About ROMS:
If you own, say the original NES cartridge of a game, it's legal to have a ROM of that game -- right?

I told you how to do it. Download an emulator from the link above and then scour the internet looking for ROMs. Search sites like Google are your friends.
