When my 12" PowerBook arrives (still waiting for Rev.C) I'll obviously need a game to make my mates envious, suggestions?

Games aren't really the way to go to impress PC gamers, mate...and the 12 inch isn't particularly strong in this regard, either.

Try dazzling them with Apple's more traditional strengths, then mention that it's a passable gaming machine too...maybe whip out a game of WarCraft 3 or something and see if that turns their wheels.

Games won't do it. The sad truth is that most games on the Mac only come a year or more after they have been released for the PC. No matter how beautiful any game looks, you open yourself up to criticism of the "but that game's way old!" type.

I agree with Blizzard. If you want to impress your friends, ask one of them to bring a digital camera or camcorder and show them how easy it is to import video or images.

Here's a real story for you. A PC using friend of mine had spent several hours trying to export a video from his PC to his camcorder, connected via FireWire. Finally he comes over to my house, plugs in his camcorder, iMovie fires up automaticallys - and I've NEVER had a camcorder plugged in. Click on Export, and boom, away it goes. Five minutes of work, and no need to install drivers or special software.

I had a similar experience with my father's digital camera - just plugged it in and iPhoto fires up and imports the pictures. No drivers, no extra software, no trouble.

That's what's cool about the Mac.

Any game that you could impress a PC user with, they will have become bored of months ago.
