Well, two questions, actually. First, I like this game a lot, but it skips something awful. And I mean skips. Just like a scratched record. For example in a scene where a guard might say "Hey who goes there?" I get "Hey, who..who...who..who goes there?" I've turned off/down every video & audio control possible to make this go away with no luck. The CD isn't sctached or anything. I'd do a re-install but I'd hate to lose my saved game.

So is this a performance thing? I mean, Halo plays very smoothly on my dual 1Ghz/GeForceTi. And it doesn't seem to be a 'lag' or low frame rate but an actual skip.

And the second question: I'm on that planet with acid rain and it is positively killing me. I can't seem to get out of it. I go into buildings and under outcroppings/platforms but the rain just seems to be coming right through. Is this normal or is there obviously something screwy with my install. Thanks.

Get the patch from www.aspyr.com or www.macgamefiles.com. This will take care of the bulk of the stuttering as well as the acid rain problem.

You can also enable EAX audio to eliminate some of the audio skipping even after installing the patch, although it shouldn't be nearly as noticeable then.

I was wondering about the acid rain problem. I had to turn on cheats to get past that level.
