See here:
http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewto...p;sp=0#2646819

It has basically been confirmed

Even if we've been able to use the PeeCee CDs in combination with the Linux resources this is a major recognition for the Mac platform and is good news for those who don't like the idea to do some minor hacking to make the PeeCee expansions work on the Mac and would rather just use a user-friendly simple installer

Neverwinter Nigths developer site
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Hope that it doesn't take as long as NWN to come out.

That is good news. But minor hacking??? All you do is copy files to the appropriate folders from the CDs. I don't call that minor hacking.

And really, should it have taken this long to say "Yeah, let's build an installer file"?

Weeell - I agree. Hacking isn't right, but it is very 1337

Sigh, late as always, but late is better than never. While the "hack" isn't too tough, its always best to make it "Mac-like".

The only benefit with this is that I can legally play using both my Mac and Windows simultaneously (which right now are using the same keys for the expansion packs). Now if only Macsoft would ship an NWN gift set including all three -- that would at least give me more appeal.

Wondering whether this will fix the 'bug' that displays a level 20+ char as being at 'Maximum level' in a server vault even with SoU and HoTU applied. It does stop you advancing, just a cosmetic thing.

Probably not, but you might want to try the beta patch Bioware released a few days ago. I've been using it and unfortunately it still seems to have problems with the henchmen (the henchmen don't die, they just disappear and are unable to be found). But maybe it will fix your issue...

That henchmen issue has already been solved. There are some files that you must erase from your nwn folder... wait I'll look it up. (virtual wait for you but I'm actually searching now...)

ok here it is:

You should not have any .ncs files in your override folder. If you have managed to get any there, you should remove them as they are old and may not be appropriate for the current version of the game and would cause strange behaviour.

~/Neverwinter Nights/Override/

If your override directory contains anything not included in the NWN Mac install package or subsequent updates from BioWare, the game may not behave as expected. By my count, this would be:
117 .mdl files
4 .tga files
1 .2da file

from: http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewto...m=71&sp=32

Hope this helps - it did for me

I'm playing online so can't change versions until the server I play on changes too. My reason for asking about the levels thing was because until HoTU is released for the Mac there is no reason for a Mac client to show more than level 20 in that particular dialog.

If you ever make it to Atlanta, I owe you the beverage of your choice for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks again!
