Can anyone recommend a convertor that would let me use a GameCube or N64 controller with my Mac via USB, preferably without me having to buy USB Overdrive as well. I want to play more MAME stuff and other games and as I already have these 2 controllers I'd like to utilise them.

Any help appreciated.

I don't think MAME does console emulation.

It is an arcade machine emu.
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Errrrr I think you misunderstand. I want to use a Cube or N64 controller with the Mac, which I can then use to control MAME games or other games.

I have a "boom PSX+N64 USB CONVERTER" from lik-sang that works perfectly with Bannister's emulators with no additional software. I don't know about MAME.

I think it was about $12, I bought it a few years ago.

The only downside it that it only works with one controller at a time. I used to have a JoyPort ADB which let you plug in four controllers simultaneously, and had nice software to set up everything.
