Dungeon Seige freezes on startup or quits out while i'm just starting to make a character. I've tried the update available online and I've tried the manual reinstall suggested in the readme file on the disc. neither seems to work.

i'm on a G4 with a 1.46 ghz OWC processor upgrade, ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 64Mb, running OSX 10.2.8 and i'm trying to install it on a 15 gb partition i made in a 200 gb 7200 maxtor that connects through a sonnet ATA 133 PCI card. this HD has no OS installed on it because i was planning to use it for storage. should i just be installing games in the applications folder on the HD i start up from?

i haven't played alot on my mac, but i've bought a few games i've been dying to try, so any advice would be very welcome.

thanks

Answer: This is a good thing! In fact consider yourself lucky that the POS isn't running on your machine. I wasn't that fortunate. I think I'm scarred for life

Despite what voodoo says, Dungeon Siege is a good game. You shouldn't have to install the game in the Applications folder. I don't install any of my games there. Have you downloaded the newest ATI Radeon update (dated November). It includes some bug fixes but I'm not sure what was fixed. The drivers are newer than the ones in 10.2.8. Also, you can try checking out the crash log to see if the source of the problem can be identified. Plus, you might be able to send it to MacSoft. The crash log is located in
