Got my copy of UT2004 but Im not seeing an editor for skins and maps. So what gives? Did they leave us creative mac guys out of skinning and mapping for a great game?

Thats crappy. Ive been looking around and Im wondering about downloading Maya Personal Learning Edition for Mac and getting an ActorX export plug-in in order to do some skinning for UT2004. Guess that is my only option to explore.

Running UnrealED in Virtual PC might be doable, though. For test runs, you can launch (manually) the Mac game.

I'll see if I can do a few tests at work, but if someone has VPC and UED handy, feel free to report here

Can you use Blender (http://www.blender3d.com/)?

Probably not. There is currently no way for Macs to make .utx files for Unreal. If you can't make them then you cant map, skin or model.

Thank God yes. If mods didn't work on our versions, well there'd just be no reason to buy UT2004. I'm getting it purely for the mods (red orchestra, frag.ops, SAS, ttr)

Indeed. Good to know they didn't do anything stupid like making mods platform specific.
