From what I have seen, the only option is to do an install on another Mac (with classic, or in OS 9) or another PC.

Then copy over the folder, and apply the OS X "patch"

You could also use Virtual PC if you have that.

It sux that blizzard has not released an OS X native installer even though they have carbonized it... though I guess we should be quite happy to have Starcraft and Diablo 2 carbonized.

We've officially removed Classic from our network. :/

Sigh.

I am surprised Blizzard hasn't made an installer yet, go and email them that suggestion. They made one for starcraft.
Good luck

The Starcraft installer you refer to is probably the 1.05 revision on our web site - it is still a Classic installer, albeit one that works correctly in Classic mode, unlike the 1.0 installer on the CD. We do get a lot of requests for an all-native installer for these games, as more and more users are running OSX without Classic installed. At this time installing Classic from the Software Restore CD/DVD is required to run these installers.

"rbarris" posts in every Blizzard-related thread but usually fails to post anything useful

(in this case, "useful," since you are a Blizzard employee, could include some kind of answer to this dude's question about the carbon installer, such as: 1) we don't plan on releasing one, 2) we're working on one now, 3) we plan on releasing one if there's enough demand, 4) I don't know if we're going to be releasing one, or 5) I can't tell you if we're planning on releasing one).
Be happy.

Unlike you who never posts anything useful

Rob's already posted before that one reason they don't have a Carbon one is because all Macs still ship with Classic and the available installers work with Classic.

chock this up as a +1 for native installers. I happen to keep classic around for exactly this reason (older games).

I bet OS X native installers are the number two requested feature right behind "l37 m3 1n 70 743 w0rld 0f w4rcr4f7 8374, n0w, 1 4m l337!!"
