Hi folks,
First a support question and then a moan which may yet still prove unfounded.
I am playing LOTR: ROTK on a 17" iMAc 1GHz with 512k ram. Game 'play' - more on that shortly - seems fine but the voice-over, a massive part of the user enjoyment, is very slow and near incomprehensible. Has anyone heard of this bug and is there a fix?
Now the moan. While the game play seems fine - there's no slowly or juddery movement - I think I must be missing a page from the manual. The characters can move about okay but I can't 'look around' to see where the action is. I have no idea where to run unless its right in front of me. This makes for a truly awful gaming experience. Is there a zoom out button or something? The game is meant to be an epic but at the moment there is no way to take in the whole environment.
Cheers,
AA

Have you tried contacting Aspyr support about the problem? http://www.aspyr.com/contact.php?p_game_id=113
From my experience, they are usually very friendly and helpful.

I have the same problem. I mean it's like the developers intended the camera angles to make it more of a cinematic experience, but when I can't see 10 orcs coming at me then dying because of it, I get pissed off. This is by far one of the WORST points of view/camera angles I have ever experienced on a game. I love taking on 20 orc as Gandalf though when he is at like level 6 or something, kick ass.

Well, I got past flickering screen, but now I have two more problems.
I can't play the Road to Isengard level. It starts up fine, but then when Gandalf gets moving, the graphics get messed up so that you can't see anything. I emailed Aspyr and they wrote this:
Aspyr Media Support Response
Howdy Geoffrey,
OS 10.3.3 's video card driver is not compatable with the mobilty 9000. Applle will be fixing this issue with the release of 10.3.4. We apologize for the inconvienece.

Thank you for your email. Have a great day.
2nd problem that happened tonight, I can't even start the game anymore because it says "Serial check number failed!" when I start the application. What the heck?? It was working fine yesterday. This is really, really frustrating.
