Hi:

I recently bought UT2004 for Macintosh- it is awesome and it plays great on my machine:

Mac G5, 1.6 Ghz, 1.5 RAM


I play with the single click mouse that came with the computer.

How do I fire certain weapons like the sniper rifle- a click, which fires most weapons, activates the telescopic lense but I can't figure out how to make it fire-

Buy a two button mouse. NOW! As for your problem, the single button should fire the sniper rifle same as any other weapon. Don't know why yours doesn't. Try alternate fire (right click or control I think).

If you're gaming, you absolutely need a multibutton mouse with a scroll wheel. There are lots of them out there. I use the MS IntelliMouse Optical and it works very well for gaming on my G5.

Wha? Is the real sniper rifle back in UT04? Not that lame lightening thing from UT2k?

Yep Although the lightning gun is still there. There is a mutator that changes all lightning guns into the sniper rifle though

Lightning gun has its place. It travel time is nearly nil and it damages vehicles much more than the sniper rifle.

Alright, the sniper rifle is back. Now I can start sniping snipers... as soon as I get a new G5 and UT2004. My dual G4 800 is getting a little slow.
