I just tried to join an internet UT2k4 game, Team Deathmatch, server Atari East 26. As it loaded the game, I got an error box saying "You have been forcibly kicked from the server. Reason: Package playerskins failed MD5" At the top of the box it says "Permanent ban"

Um.. why?? This is the first time I'm trying to get on...

Known issue. Should be fixed, but not all servers have the fix:

It was also noted in the UT2K4 performance thread

I've been writing to the owners of servers running MutUTSecure2k4 v1.10 that still do this using this boilerplate text. Make sure that they're using MutUTSecure2k4 before you send this though, or you may look a bit silly

The XXX-INSERT-PROVIDER UT2004 servers are using MutUTSecure2k4 v1.10 to secure them against various cheats for UT2k4. Unfortunately, there is a bug in MutUTSecure2k4 which causes it to ban players with the Macintosh version of UT2k4 due to Playerskins returning a different Quick MD5 to the PC version (Mac: e5972d08a11f9557ba23dc02ebd36c8f, PC: db866b469c2661111abb221f3b51a450).

This bug has been addressed in UTSecure2k4 1.11, which can be downloaded at the address given below:

Thanks for the service, and I hope that this problem can be resolved shortly.
I've had a 100% response with people actually fixing this so far, so it's worth a go.
