Hey,
Is SC2000 available natively on X or is still a classic job? Great game though, can't wait to play it.

I would love to see a X port as Sim City 3000 and above are a little over the top.
Maybe I should try contacting Maxis again (not that they'd want to hear).

Damn that is a pitty. There is a version which will run on XP, why not Os X? How is the experience with Classic, will it run okay on a 700 G3 Ibook?

It should run fine in Classic. Performance should not be an issue. The only games that don't seem to run in Classic are those that require 16 colors.

I love SC2K
SimCity 4 is pretty cool, too; at least on the PC. SC3K was sorta silly though (but still fun).

Be happy.

Yeah, there was something special about SimCity 2000 that I don't think Maxis or anybody else is going to be able to duplicate.
I have yet to be impressed with any subsequent SimCity release whatsoever.

Exactly. Same with Civ, prefer Civ2: Test of Time to all the next ones.

And of course -- in a much more extreme way -- MOO2 vs. MOO3. Eek!

Interesting, that was the one I didn't like. I'm either Civ or Civ 3, but I can't stand Civ 2.

I knew there was a Java port of the original SimCity. Perhaps if you wait for a few more years, they might have a Java port of SC2000??
Yes, I like SC2000 so much!

I have Sim City 3000 and Sim City 4 now. Sim City 2000 was cool, and brings back a lot of memories but when games get too old I do find it hard to forgive the poor graphics I'm afraid. I love the look of Sim City 4 but does it have to be SO HARD?!

Obviously the original SimCity has a good start, especially I can build my city quickly with FUND.
Then the SimCity 2000. It's more realistic, and my 6x6 blocks has the best transport coverage. porntipsguzzargo is a bit long, but very helpful.
Simcity3000... I bought it and I only played briefly. Too hard somehow??
Simcity 4? More playable. Too bad it's getting very slow even on high end machines. As always, weaknessplays (but I think putting those casinos thats provide high income is a better way!)

Actually now I have discovered Civilization Evolution, simply amazing, even beats Civ 1 and 3.
