I was just wondering if there is anything I could do to possibly increase the speed when running some games on my Mac, (Warcraft III, Diablo II, etc.). Thanks for the help!
Macintosh OSX 10.3
400 MHz PowerPC G4
320 MB SDRAM

With a 400 Mhz G4, not even a video card upgrade will do terribly much
If you can find an old Radeon 7500 or 8500, that might be worth it.
Also, booting in OS 9 for gaming is a good idea on a machine that can do that.

Be happy.

They are graphics cards made by ATI.

Macintosh OSX 10.3
400 MHz PowerPC G4
320 MB SDRAM
I'm guessing this could be one of two Power Mac G4 models.
The Sawtooth with AGP graphics:

Or the Yikes with PCI graphics:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=43111
Either model will allow you to upgrade the existing 400mhz processor to at least 1Ghz for about $300. Check out http://www.macsales.com/ for a list of processor upgrade cards for your model.
I added a 1.4Ghz card into my aging 533mhz Digital Audio G4 last year and boy does it make a world of difference. Well worth the upgrade price if your wallet isn't ready for a G5 just yet.

With that processor, you are pretty much out of luck trying to play any modern game.
Things you can do, aside from getting a new computer or vid card:
Turn all settings and resolution down in the game's options.
Creat a new User in OS X specifically for gaming. This way you can insure that as little as possible is running in the background. You don't want anything extra running, not even menu extras.
Get more RAM.

Use your money and build a cheap PC. Dont bother trying to waste your money to upgrade just to play game. Lame attempt and waste of time.

yeah if you want to just do gaming.. for 600 bucks you could probably build or buy a cheap pc that would kick your mac's ass no matter what you did to it.
or you could just by a ps2

Heck a 800mhz should make major improvements on those games. Also a bigger video card should help actually. That's funny my Diablo LOD CD case says a G3 will work? Why got to PCs if the games you want to play work on mac. I own a a pc with XP pro and I want to smash the hard drive . The new PC games puts the most demand on the video cards . They give low requirements, but you really should have at least the recommended. Never ever use onboard graphics on a pc game system. Diablo LOD dose not play well on my celeron 465mhz with 386mb ram and a 32mb Nividia tnt2 with Xp pro. My system exceeds the requirement by a good amount. Maybe it's Blizzard games?
