I don't think it has been announced yet. No way to know for sure until it is announced, but I would watch for Aspyr to announce it. They would more than likely be the ones to publish it, if it is going to be ported (they did publish the first 2 after all).

you would think that by now they'd get around to releasing it at least close to the movie and the PC version.

You would think, but a release close to the PC version is rare. Typically, a PC game company will complete the PC code and release the game and then send the code off to a porting house to be developed for the mac.

So if/when it's released, look for it about 6 months to a year after the original is released.
