Hi all,
I found Soldier of Fortune II for cheap money online today ($12), is this game any good? I've not been able to find any reviews from readers/buyers to find out if it was a good game, or just a lame port. Any help would be appreciated. I know it's short money to worry about...but why blow $12 if you don't have to...thanks!

I enjoyed the game quite a bit. It's definitely worth $12.00. There's just nothing like shooting (in a video game) a guy with a shotgun and blowing off whatever bit of body you shot... Like his arm, or his leg... or his head...
Take that to mean that you shouldn't play this game around young children. It's quite graphic.

Yes! It's an awesome game! Very very gorey though, so be warned.
It is kinda poorly programmed though... for example, it lags as it loads enemies, so you know when someone is coming, but maybe that was just on my slower 800mhz G4 iMac.
But yes, it's definitely worth 12 bucks!
Also, it's not too popular online anymore, so there aren't often that many multiplayer games to join. But, the Single Player game is quite fun.

Bought it-played it-loved it!
The first level sucked. I thought that the graphics were bad.
But later levels (jungle!) rock!
Awesome game-takes hours to get through; nice weapons (accuracy drops when you fire continuously). BUY! BUY! BUY!

If you can believe it, I managed to complete this game on my iMac 600. As already mentioned, the first level is really sluggish on slower machines, but after that, the game is superb. It's a lot of fun. You won't be disappointed.
