I'm about to but my GF a PC laptop, I know, I know. Thing is, she needs it for work things like access etc etc so it HAS to be a PC. Anyway, I'm pretty sure of the model I'm going to buy but my thinking is that if we have a PC then I might as well make use of it on the gaming front I just wanted to know whether anyone thinks that the following machine would be any good for games:

http://www.nice-pc.co.uk/BestBuyFuji...RDVDRW80Gb.asp

It's not a gaming computer per se and it will be used for other things but I would like it to run games too. What do you guys think?

Your link doesn't seem to be working for me...

What are the specs? A good way for you to answer your own question, think of what game you would most likely want to play, and go check it's system requirements...

Yeah, that video system would not cut it. And the Centrino is a weaker processor, I believe, than an AMD or Pentium... but I really know nothing about PCs, and have never owned one.

If you could, you should get one of those Alienware laptops! Well, actually, scratch that, my friend got one and it's been nothing but problems....

Well, I don't think that laptop you are looking at will be too hot for gaming, but I am no expert with PCs, so don't take my opinion as fact.

Yeah, those specs look much better! But, I know nothing about that brand... you might want to research their quality history and make sure it's not garbage.

Otherwise, it looks great.... for a PC.
