Hi all,
I love Call of Duty, it's the first game I've ever bought (10+ years) that I've bought, installed and played until finished all in the same day(s). That being said, and I know it's early and all that, but is there any chance of any expansion packs for this game? I believe there is one for the PC due out in the fall? I might be mistaken about the timing, but I know there is an expansion due out. I just looked, it's called United Offensive, due in the fall of 2004. Will we have to wait a year for that as well? Just wondering. Thanks.

I quite loved CoD too. Can anybody explain why it plays so much more smoothly than the Medal of Honor family of games on the same machine? Same richness of graphics (though sound may be better in MoH), yet CoD is so much better to play.

MOHAA runs much better than CoD... it can even run on G3s. Spearhead and Breakthrough are a different story though. They are much more demanding.

Moh is old and buggy, it requires the same amount of power as CoD and delivers less. More and more games these days are optimized for lower end machines (and higher for that matter).
And as for United Offensive I have only one problem with it, it's being made by the wolfenstein people. I hated RTCW, I thought the multiplayer was too complex and unrealistic. It was appalling at how inaccurate the weapons layout was. I have a real bad feeling they're going to mess CoD up, big time.

I have to disagree....
I can play MOH at 1024x768 with textures, etc, at low to mid.
I have to play CoD at 640x480 with all details and settings at their minimum, and I still get the occasional lag during big battles.

I was able to play CoD fine and loved it. I like playing MOH online too though, not checked out breakthrough but I like sperhead.
BF1942 looks to be great but I'm waiting a bit longer to check out what people say before parting with my cash.
