No word as of yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear an announcement in the coming months.

The first Spider-man game is available for the Mac, but the sequel (vs Electro, or something like that) was never ported. The sequel to that, Spider-man - The Movie, wasn't ported either.
The new game coming is actually Spider-man the movie 2, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for a Mac release.

I got about half way thru the 2nd level before I got so incredibly sick of that game... haven't launched it since.
Does it get better later in the game? Or, if I didn't like it by the 2nd level, I wont like the rest any better?

all the spiderman games so far haven't been very good at all. Spiderman 2 the movie looks better but I still won't buy it, once completed I imagine it'll get boring.

I've heard a lot of good things about Spiderman 2, for consoles. The PC version is a pale comparison to the console version because it's been dumbed down and geared toward kids. If we got a Mac version, it would probably be ported from the PC version (ugh) so I wouldn't want it. I'll probably pick it up for my XBox or GameCube someday.

From what guys at work tell me, Spider Man 2 is like vice city, whereas you can go anywhere, do anything. I've not played it myself, but that's what I hear over and over. Might actually be halfway decent.

Yes, Spider-man 2 is sort of like Vice City and the "feel" of the game is quite cool (I did like the swinging parts of the Mac Spider-man). The bad parts are however that it's quite short and there's only variations of ten different missions that you get from civilians (and you have to do quite a lot of them).

The unfortunate part is that it's the PC version, which is not the same as the console vresion. The PC version received horrible reviews.

I played a demo for the PC version (Spider-Man 2) and it was not really any better than the first one.
However I recently bought the GameCube version and it's just freaking cool (I'm a spidey fanboy so maybe I'm a little biased heh). So IMHO it's true, the PC version sucks.
