I just try to report Feral Interactive about the lagging on XIII, but I didn't.
I found that the Report contains too much details. Like My logs, Applications, and Drivers.
As well as the username and computer serial number.

I don't think it's a good report...

What do you guys think?

Where did the report come from?
Can't you edit out the info you don't want to send?

The report is essentially an Apple System Profiler report, generated using the /usr/sbin/system_profiler tool, augmented with some game-specific information.

An ASP report does include things like your installed drivers, crash logs, etc - but those are useful bits of information for us to have when diagnosing problems. The extra information we add is all game-related: e.g., a list of checksums from the app folder to detect corrupt installs, a copy of the app preferences file, more detailed info on your video card, etc.

We don't filter the output of the ASP component of the report, but as it's a text file you can easily have a look and see exactly what we receive. If there's something in there that you don't feel we should have, feel free to strip it out (but be prepared for us to ask for it again though, as we may need it to diagnose your problem).

The reason we use a custom report rather than an ASP report is that until 10.3 the ASP report didn't include crash logs, and so we'd often have to go back-and-forth in a support call to try and collect all the bits of information we need. The ASP report also doesn't tell us a great deal about your video card, but by querying OpenGL directly we can see exactly what the game is going to see on your configuration.
