I have been playing lan games of Call of Duty through my router with 3 macs and 1 pc without any problems recently. The one thing I am not able to do is start a new server. All three of the other computers are able to do this no problem at all. I select start a new server and then select the map i want to play, instead of the map loading like it does on the other three computers I get a console window with alot of code. I am guessing it has something to do with my network preferences but I haven't changed any of the settings since I got the powerbook. I also copied across the call of duty folder from my hard disk to one of the other powerbooks(which is the exact same as mine) to see if they get the same call of duty console window when they run it and start a new network but the don't. the map loads straight away. I am running latest Panter and latest Call of Duty version. I have tried repairing permissions but that hasn't helped. anyone any ideas
thanks

Sounds like it could be a firewall issue, to me.

Go to System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall

And see if it's on. If so, just turn it off before you play, or you can open the port that CoD uses to connect. I don't know it off the top of my head, but it's easy to find.

But, you might also have a firewall on your router. If the other computers can host no problem, maybe they are familiar with opening ports on your router's firewall. See if they know how to do it. I know how to do it with my router, but it's different for different brands. But, most likely you access thru a web page. Try typing your IP address into Safari's address bar and see what happens.
