I know it's been around for a while, but so has the Sims and that's still pretty popular.

The difference between the two is B&W actually thinks for itself better than the Sims. I got kinda fed up with telling my Sims what to do all of the time (flush, go here or there, call cab, answer phone).

I like Simulation games and had all the Sims expansion packs. I thought it would become more dynamic with each new expansion, but it didn't really. I still had to tell them to do everything little thing.

B&W appeals to me because it has so much going on, it looks much better, is challenging and I love the whole Villagers developing into a civilisation. It really is like having a small community living in my pBook. My Creature is interesting too. He's still in the early learning stage at the moment, but he's doing pretty good.

The initial appeal of the Sims was that it was an infinite game, B&W is too (if I want it to be). Even if I successfully complete all 6 worlds and can begin again, but take my Creature with me in his current state. That's pretty cool

Anyone else playing B&W?

Quickly bored??

Man I'm going nuts trying to keep my Edeans supplied with wood in the 2nd world lol. I think it's time to clear up the riff raff muwahahahahah

Hey did ya'll get the patch for 'village banter" yet? With this you can zoom in on any villager and actually listen in on their conversations. Sometimes they are talking about you (and it's not always good).

You can get the patch here: http://www.zonic.co.uk/support/games/

Do what I did and constantly steal scaffoldings and wood from Khazar. He won't mind.

My creature has learnt the wood miracle so he's got that covered now I hope (he's a bit of a work horse). I can't seem to get him to learn where to get food from though.

I just did a search, and dug up this thread from years ago! Anyway, I just reinstalled B&W. On my old powerbook, I couldn't play past the first island, the performance was just too poor. So it's been nice to be able to play at smooth frame rates with settings on medium to high.

I'm still on the first island now, and am frustrated because I was hoping to get the sheep creature, but I was only able to find 8 of the 9 sheep for the sheep herder. The last one I needed is the one that is fenced in with the pigs. Unfortunately, I showed my creature early on that he can eat those pigs, and I am pretty sure he ate the sheep too (the pen is completely empty). Perhaps he threw the sheep and it is somewhere else, but I am doubtful. Oh well, I guess I'll stick with the tiger.
