Couple of questions:

1. Do maps download online from (i.e. cncden.com) work with the OSX version?

2. How does the Dual G5 1.8 PowerMac handle C&C? I have heard (right or wrong) that it can make this PowerMac crawl. Can anyone confirm this?

3. Will the Dual G5 1.8 PowerMac (with stock nVidia card) be enough to play most games easily?

1. Ya, but it never really worked for me for some reason. Even on a LAN, downloading maps like that was kind of buggy and I could never get it to work.

2. Wouldnt know, but it works very nicely on my 15" PowerBook 1.5 ghz.

3. Yep, and if you need any more graphics capabilities just switch out the graphics card (I would go for that ATI X800 (not released yet but looks damn awesome))

The game plays just fine for online games with my 1.33 G4 12in Powerbook. Though for some reason myself and other Powerbook owners have found that restarting helps gameplay.

I've had no problems playing online games via GameRanger.

I have had issues getting maps over to other players but if all of them have the same downloaded map there should be no problem. just make sure they aren't zero hour and the more civ buildings and water the more lag a game will have.

all official maps and games and network play runs smooth a wonderful on my Dual 1GHz G4 /GF4 Ti card and a GB of RAM. I can play most games at high and all the others at mid to high while listening to iTunes. So I would be extremely confident with a 1.8GHz G5.

Hey guys.....I have a problem with the game.

Every time I play USA mission 7 (last mission) the game crashes and I get sent back to the desktop and the crash reporter. This is the only scenario where the game crashes.

Has anybody here has this problem?

We're not aware of any problem such as this. Please make sure you take the generated crash log and send it to Aspyr, along with a description of what you were doing when it happened, and a saved game if possible. Thanks.
