These are all free (Windows, though one of the older ones has a Mac port) games, and are pretty addictive and fun - especially 'Icy Tower'.

Anyone else tried these? Anyone else wish there were OS X versions? Anyone else have any more small but addictive games like these that they'd like to see ported?

I wonder if Virtual PC or something similar would work for this sort of thing...

gameplay baby!!!

yeah man - - simple is good. I don't have days in my life to spend creating an army just to have the computer smash it to bits cause they already have the super uBer weapon...

Why was "Defender" was so damn addictive?
forget spells, guns, armies of demons, mechs that take up the entire screen [and beyond] -

eight axis and maybe a weapon - if your lucky... but that is just me

As for Icy Tower - there was one for mac called NS-Shaft.

Rub another lamp, Aladdin!

For the record, I'd buy it and play the whole thing over again. It was that good!

I just want to see Farcry. Played it few times at my friends and found it to be an excellent game. I'll probably just end up buying it for the PC, though.

yeah I played it once, but could easily play it many times over. I didn't even come close to doing all the side quests I imagine, and I was not a member of all the houses or guilds. Really one of the few games with a very high replay value (and high continue play value after you beat the main quest... still much to do).

PS. I've been rubbing the lamp for some time. Seems the one I got was a fake: no genie inside.

Same goes here. I bought GOTY and haven't even finished it yet. I didn't get too much time to play it at school, so I'm planning on going on a bindge for the last week or 2 of summer and playing it non stop!

GOTY was fun. I've finished off the wizard's and fighter's guild, both expansions, killed the big bad guy, and a bunch of other stuff. Hell, My character is level 70. I can only gain 2 more levels period. I can beat Golden Saints to death with my bare hands. Godlike stuff.

But if it came out for the Mac, I'd start from scratch just to do it again. It is a fantastic game. Epic scope, massive adventure. Very immersive.

Morrowind, Tribunal, and Bloodwind for the Mac! Let's all rub our lamps!

Only 2 guilds? what about the houses? Join & conquer any of those? Sounds like you barely scratched the surface. But same here. I could easily play it again as well and have several things to do that I previously did not do.

I really can't wait for the next game in The Elder Scrolls series. I'm even considering buying the older games and playing them when I get around to it. I would kick much arse if they released a PC and a Mac version of the next edition!

just played thru once. Skipped thieves guild. Skipped the temple, finished the legion quests. Did the twin lamps quests. Did the morag tong quests (including the 28 threads of the web spinner: PITA!) House Hlaalu. Even stumbled across the mudcrab merchant! I've knocked out a fair amount of the game, but there is still the thieves guild, vampire quests, the temple, a different house. Certainly worth playing again!

If any of you guys don't have them already, the expansion packs are well worth the money! They add even more stuff to the game, I know... it's too much

As a stop-gap measure to getting Morrowind on the Mac, more expansion packs for NWN would be fine, as long as they emphasized the single player game and were more than a couple of chapters long.

Oh wait... we have to wait for Bioware & Atari to do these for the PC so we can play 'em on the Mac. Tsk tsk tsk on MacSoft!

I'd like to see PartyPoker.com ported. Using it on VPC currently isn't working for me.....Though I'm guess it won't happen either (someone in another post said they emailed support and the response was use VPC).

There's never enough when you have too little
