The Pistol Mouse is just that; a mouse that looks like a gun. You can twist the gun to aim sideways. You can also slide it like a mouse to the left or right to aim left or right. Also dont expect the barrel of the gun to always point at your target; it is a mouse. Otherwise it is as acurate as any mouse in my opinion. The scroll wheel makes it as functional as any mouse; I am web surfing with it right now, although I prefer my Bluetooth mouse. Frankly it is a great looking piece, very real looking but for the red piece inserted in the barrel. As far as accuracy is concerned, it is as accurate as any mouse. I have not had it long enough to give an in depth report as far as fun factor in actual games, but so far it works well.

So, do you have to keep it flat on a mouse pad like a normal mouse, or can you hold it in the air infront of you?
To look up and down, do you move the entire unit forward and backward, or does the gun actually pivot up and down?
I use a TrackBall mouse, and I'm starting to consider getting something different for games. Just not sure that pistol mouse is gonna cut the mustard.... sure looks neat though!

You have to move your whole forearm for vertical movements right?
Does it get tiring since you can't rest the heel of your hand on the desk?

The mouse gun does not pivot on its base. No, you cant hold it in the air; as I said it is a mouse in the shape of a gun, basically. It needs a flat surface and has an infrared/lazer eye at the bottom of its base like most mice nowadays. It is not tiring to use either. I suppose if you want the real deal you can always buy Time Crisis 3 for your Playstation 2. It comes with a Gun Con light gun; VERY ACCURATE if calibrated correctly. It can also be used in a certain Resident Evil game.

I 2nd that comment. This thing is retarded. This is the kind of toy a clueless grandparent buys for their grandson/granddaughter... Pure computer game snake-oil. I laugh and point at original poster.
I heard that this company will soon offer a mouse in the shape of a sword... NOT!
