I recentlyt bought JKJA and it does't play at all smoothly on my brand new PowerBook. Could my game settings be all messed up? I've tried every preset and it only runs smoothly with all the eyecandy turned off and only at 640 x 480 res.

JKII JO plays great even at high quality.

Also, I'm using the M-Audio Sonica Theater sound car, but it really seems to slow the games down forcing me to drop it and just use the headphones when i game. Are there any surround sound cards with EAX support for the Mac? Maybe one not so system hungry?

My bad. I had the anistropic filtering set way too high. And the M-Audio software doesn't have to run all the time. Now it runs great.
