OK ive been searching for a way to run duke 3d in OSX. The best way so that looks promising is to emulate dos on OS X (found a open source program Here ) Since I suck at DOS commands I downloaded a DOS front end form this open source for OS X here . Now all I need is a full version of the game to try it out on. If anyone has it try it - and post the result I would love to pick up a copy of the game ( I here you can get it for like 5 bucks now)

Since they released the source code, people have been porting it to different operating systems.
There's an OS X version here
If you're technically inclined, you can play around with this

Thanks for the links to DOSBox. I was having a hard time getting Bochs to work, and DOSBox just got rid of all that mess. Gotta love that. I now have XCOM: UFO Defense on my PowerBook. Cross country flights will never be dull again.
This forum rocks. Now all I need is someone to post a good PlayStation emu...

They already ported Duke 3D to OS X, no need for DOS emulation.
As already mentioned, the link is here:

(Sidenote, I didnæt remember the graphics to be this bad )

The instructions seem pretty clear to me:
"1. right-click on the Duke3D icon and choose 'show package contents'
2. locate the directory 'Resources' where you should find the file 'icon.icns'
3. copy the contents of the duke3d-directory into this resources directory"
