Where do you go to find Mac shareware games? MacGameFiles.com seems to be dying or at least, not getting updated like it used to be...

You could try VersionTracker or MacUpdate
-iMac
(The PC to Mac CoD Mod Converter)

Yes, but those sites are somewhat loaded with other things I'm not interested in...it's hard to tell what's what on those sites.

Surely there must be somewhere else people go to look for new games? No?

...or just try Apple. Y'know, Apple.com/OS X/Downloads.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

GarageGames' game store looks like they have some for sale. Looks like most of them have demos as well.

If you want a website with a listing of (small) shareware games available for the Mac check:
http://www.playmacgames.com

These are mostly games created by starting Mac games programmers. It's a good site to check out the up and coming game programmers for the Mac and to support the Mac gaming scene.
