Myst was a game I played for awhile 10 years ago or so, never got anywhere and gave up. Now I'm older and wiser, I figured it out without any help over the past week. Guess my college experience paid off. Last night I had time for a game for 2 hours or so and chose to play Myst and beat it.
It was amazing, I was totally stuck in the game and did the standard walking around clicking on crap stunts.. Turned it off, went to Perkins, came back and within 5 mins found the missing pages located in some trap doors. I was on these screens but didnt see them in the background.
The beauty is that Myst (and Riven) pick up your desktop resolution and I was playing this at 1280x854 which looks great , but is pretty small on my 15" screen. About the size of an index card, put its very high quality.
I loaded Riven and the game wonderfully takes off *exactly* where the first one ends. The same end movie is contiuned when the game starts. I only played about 5 mins of Riven so far, but the game is so realistic and I cant wait to take my laptop (dont forget headphones) to Starbucks and just relax and drink some coffee and
get lost.
I played Myst until about 2 AM last night and woke up at 7:20 thinking I overslept. A game that does not tired you out is a good one.
