I'm trying to connect my PS2 to my Powerbook G4 so I can play online with my PS2.

I have a crossover cable and everything but it doesn't seem to work.

I'm using a Netgear MR814v2. Do I have to mess around with the ports?

I would say this belongs in the networking forums. If you're using a router/switch/hub then you don't need crossover cables, though.

Shouldn't you just plug the PS2 into your router like the xbox does?

^ Exactly. My PS2 just plugs into the back of my Netgear router with a patch cable. You shouldn't need to involve your Mac, other than with configuring the router in the first place.

Wait, why are you plugging into the network? Is the Xlink Kai ready on OS X for the PSP, what? Can you do anything yet online? I'm lost...

Sorry, I didn't mention it before.

My (wireless) router and TV is in the other room.

I saw some config info on the Apple site for XBox wireless, perhaps it's quite similar?

Also, for the PSP:

This shouldn't be impossible.
