This is a little off topic, I know, but I figured you guys would know, and I don't read any other computing forums.

What's the current state of counterstrike? I used to be really into it, but then practically overnight I stopped when I went to college, got into macs, etc.

I dug my old pentium out of storage today, and thought about perhaps getting counterstrike going again.

Has counterstrike migrated to a HL2 version? Do people still play counterstike based on HL1? My old machine's probably not powerful enough for HL2, (Pentium III 700/512/32Meg Video) so I don't think I'll be upgrading, but I'd still love to run around some of the old levels if people were still out there.

counterstrike source is the new thing. its based on the half life 2 engine and everyone is playing it. that isn't on a mac of course.

edit: i'm pretty sure people still play counterstrike though. gotta download steam.

Lol... plenty of people still play CS and now CS source... it's a great game and will continue to be played for years to come most likely.
