Well I finally did it... I ordered 2 new games for my currently gameless powerbook. I have RoN at home for my PC, but I belive my brother has stolen it anyway, so I needed to get myself a mac copy. Anyway, can I expect both of these games to run reasonably well on my powerbook (see sig for specs)? From what I've read here they both should work... just though I'd do one final check before they get mailed out.

Also, does the current WoW normal edition come with a month of service? or do I have to shell out some initial cash for that too?

IC IC... I think I'll have to hold out on registering until spring break or I'll get no work done. Luckly I have no money to go anywhere for spring break so I can sit my ass at home and play halo 2 and WoW... I'm sure RoN will hold me over until then... I already know it's a great game...

WoW will run fine on your PB. I play it daily on my PB15 1.5ghz 1GB RAM 128MB VRAM.

With all graphic options on high except for distance, It's not as smooth as on my wife's AMD2000 with a 2 year old NVidia in it, but I don't find myself at a disadvantage.

It can lag quite a bit in a really heavily populated area like Ironforge's auction house, but once all the data and textures are loaded, it's not bad. I get around 10 frames per second in those instances. Out in the open, I get 20-30 FPS easily.

Just in case you didn't realize it, your friend will still have to purchase the retail box before he can continue past the first 10 days.

I don't think you read that correctly. I'm not talking about installing it on a friend's computer. I'm saying that I have a gaming PC at home that I didn't bring up to school with me. I'd be using the same account on both it and my powerbook, which I'm fairly sure is possible as per previous posts.

Yeah, I reguarly switch between different machines, some PC's, some Macs, all using my own WoW account and it's all good.

The hybrid CD is a great feature. Kudos to Blizzard

got a dual 1Ghz box with GF4Ti, since neither of these games are SMP aware I get a marginal boost from the OS. But both run fine and look good, with a faster CPU you should be fine.
