Ever since upgrading to 10.3.7 (and then 10.3.8 a few days later) I have been having serious problems playing Quake 2.

The problem is with screen activity. If I am alone on a server (or single player) and just run around, etc, all is fine. However, when other people are running around or if there are explosions happening etc, I get all jumpy and my mouse gets hyper sensities and I am all over the screen. It makes the game pretty much un-playable.

I am using a G4 eMac with 512 megs of ram and an ATI Radeon 7500 card.

I had assumed that maybe the new os was too much for my modest machine, but another suggested it might be the new ati driver update that just came out. Since it is all installed via apple I have no real way of testing this though (that I know of yet).

Anyone have an idea of what the actual real problem might be and how I can maybe fix it?

TIA!!

Are you playing via classic or is there some OS X executable I do not know about?
