never played warcraft before but everyone says this one is fantastic, have a 50$ apple gift card coincidentally, but 1 I don't have a mouse, 2 will it play fine on my new 1.67 64mb of Vram powerbook. Would it be bad move to get a 1button apple mouse and try to play this?

The game is very addicting and will eat up a ton of time (51 hunter), you really need a 2 buttom mouse, and its a lot of fun know what you are getting into though

It would run fine on your powerbook, but you really should have a two button mouse. If you do decide to get the game, visit http://www.dogcows.net/ - Many mac users that frequent this site have joined ranks with us. Alliance is on Whisperwind and horde is on the PvP server Frostwolf. Hopefully you'll join us hordies (we need more!) but I won't force you

A majority of the interaction with objects in WoW require a right-mouse click. Without a multi-button mouse, you're gonna be hovering over the CTRL key a heck of a lot. Further, if you play PvP, you'll want precise control over the pointer to click on targets and whatnot, maybe it's just me but I always end up overshooting or undershooting with the trackpad pointer. I think those two issues would detract from the gaming experience. In any event, you could probably find a cheap $10 two button mouse at the local computer store and be good to go.

Your powerbook will be fine - welcome to WoW, say goodbye to the wife/girlfriend/significant other, and enjoy the game! Don't forget to take occassional breaks for food, drink, and waste management!

Just installed and started playing last night on my 1.5ghz 128mb vram PB. Runs very smooth and is what I consider very playable with all settings but distance up pretty high. And I hate slideshows. I have to reformat/reinstall windows on my gaming PC that's been sitting around since I got this powerbook. I should be able to turn the distance up on that sucker Anyway, great addicting game. I think I played for like 5hrs last night...
