Are there ANY good racing games out there?

I've tried total immersion...crap... Ford 2...crap. Nascar...crap. Is there anything out there even comparable to the Need for Speed series for PC? I want:
- Fast vehicle response
- Good racing music
- Racing through the city (and not a nascar track)
- Excellent graphics

Nascar...crap, Total Immersion...crap. So, you don't really want a RACING game, you want a game where you tear through the streets of some city while listening to LOUD music, oh...that's different 
Don't know of anything even remotely close for the Mac...sorry.

He never said it had to run in OSX. I was thinking he could buy a PS2 for $150 and a video card that accepted video input... then play it on his mac.
