Port Mapping in Airport Admin Utility:

Public Port = 14567

Private IP Address = 10.0.1.1 (is number of router = Airport Express)

Private Port = 14567

Doesn't work. At least, it doesn't work with a peecee connected to this Airport.
I can see him making a server on LAN, but connection failed. What esle is there to configure?
Tried with firewall off, doesn't matter.

I had to turn DMZ on and port forwarding off to host Battlefield, and have it work. Turning DMZ on seems a little scary considering it opens all ports, and allows all incoming info to go to the network IP of your choice, but you can turn DMZ off when you are finished.

I have found this:

If you want to play network games, you can set up a computer on your AirPort network as the default host. This computer will be exposed to the Internet and receive all inbound traffic.

To set up a computer as a default host:

Open AirPort Admin Utility, located in Applications/Utilities.
Select your base station from the list and click Configure.
Click Base Station Options, then click WAN Ethernet Port.
Select "Enable Default Host at." The default IP address is 10.0.1.253. Assign this address to the host computer.

Is that what you mean?

Yes, but I did it through my router settings. I have a netgear router, and so if I go to 192.168.0.1 then I can access my router settings. I turned all of my port forwarding off, as it is not compatible with DMZ being turned on. When you turn DMZ on, just set your IP to 10.0.1.253 (if this is your computers IP), and you should be set.

Since I am doing this through Airport Admin Utility, I guess I can simply switch off Enable Ethernet Port, and just have a LAN network with so called all ports open: that doesn't mater.

What are the risks of having all portts open and being connected to the internet, while having a Mac?
Is there a lot of harm which will be done,
is this only peecee related,
how fast do "they" see or know my ports are open?

Thanks.

Well, whatever settings I try, it simply doesn't work.

I tried the Base Station Options (in Airport Admin Utility under Airport tab) -> I selected Enable Default Host at 10.0.1.253, which supposed to open all the ports, according to

AirPort Help

Setting up a default host on your network

If you want to play network games, you can set up a computer on your AirPort network as the default host. This computer will be exposed to the Internet and receive all inbound traffic.

To set up a computer as a default host:

1. Open AirPort Admin Utility, located in Applications/Utilities.
2. Select your base station from the list and click Configure.
3. Click Base Station Options, then click WAN Ethernet Port.
4. Select "Enable Default Host at." The default IP address is 10.0.1.253. Assign this address to the host computer.

This doesn't give me the ability to play a game with a peecee which is connected to the same Airport Express.

Are there some settings in the peecee which has to be changed?

Your problem is with the Private IP Address. That should be the LAN IP of your Mac, not the router.

Hit Cmd-Shift-H in GameRanger and it will take you to the Hosting Help page which will show your private IP address, public IP address, and router IP address. It also has a list of the port numbers used by most games on GameRanger.
