Played both on an eMac 1GHz with 640mb of RAM. Both play very well. Halo plays with no problems, except that Halo does have some stability issues. Unreal Tournament 2004 plays very well, but on certain levels, it will play a little slow, but still playable. I happen to like Unreal more than Halo though.

I bought them from CompUSA, Halo was 49.95 and Unreal Tournament 2004 was 39.95
What sucks is that Halo for PC only costs 19.95!

Get used to it... such is the way with (most) mac games....

glad they both run well for ya... I never really got into Halo that much (I tried the single player campaign, and multiplayer to me just didn't live up to my memories of playing it with friends on XBox, so, meh...

I seem to recall having stability issues with it though, too... it would crash and whatever sound was playing would repeat over and over, the whole screen would freeze... couldn't force quit or anything, had to hit the hardware reset have you tried patching?

Halo's Campaign is extremely boring. I wont play that at all! Multiplayer over the internet is kind of fun. But Halo doesnt have as much action as Unreal.

I had the same problem where Halo would freeze up, and the sound would repeat over and over. This would happen usually when I click the Get List button. I just press command+option+esc and that usually gets it out of the freeze, without having to force quit. But sometimes, I will have to force quit.

I havent tried patching yet. The latest patch for Halo I believe is 1.5 I will update to that when I have the chance.

To each his own, I guess. I play Halo online almost daily. I like the pace of it. Unreal 2004 is nice, and fun, but sometimes can be to hectic, you can't see what's happening.

As to Halo freezing and repeating the sounds, that happens when it can't connect to the game server, either because of internet connection problems, or server problems.
