Hey guys. I decided I wanted to buy Scrabble for my powerbook to mess around with while on the go. However, something that dissapoints me is how the app requires the disc to be in the drive in order to play the game. I file that I dragged into my applications folder (as the setup advised) is about 240 mb. I would think something so large would not need the disc. Is there any work around? Thanks guys-Chris

Hi Chris. If you search these forums, you'll find instructions for making a disc image and installing your game from that instead of the CD drive. That way, you'll never need the physical disc.

The idea behind requiring the CD is piracy prevention. If you could install the game and pass the CD along to a friend it would be very simple to pirate. Now with CD writers or simply making disc images this method is more a pain in the butt than anything.
