Hi all. My boyfriend and I acquired 4 older Macs today. They're running anywhere between OS 7.6-8.6. The one running 8.6 is a very nice machine... especially for free.

Does anyone out there have any games/programs (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) they'd be willing to give or sell for little money to us? Or is there anywhere to download any old school games? Remember the days of Number Munchers, Oregon Trail, Storybook Weaver, Kidpix and Math Blaster? Yeah, that's what we're lookin' for.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Alison

Yeah, I have broadband. I've tried finding some to download, but there aren't a lot out there. Anything else I can try?

I'm searching that site right now. Thanks!

Don't know if you are into any of these games:

Myth (very good)
Command & Conquer (very good)
Leisure Suit Larry 7
Doom
Top Gun
Duke Nukem 3D
X Files

Let me know if you want any of them for little $$$.

Yes. This is the best site for abandonware. I highly recommend downloading Per-Oxyd and playing in a network. It's a sick idea that I have never seen equal since. Oh the memories!

You probably shouldn't be linking to 'abandonware' in these forums. And abandonware is apparently 'just' a term used by people that want to justify their illegal actions.

I'm not here to discuss this though...as I don't really know or care who is right...but here's a for sure legal game that *is* Oxyd and Per-Oxyd...http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21160 .
