I've got a 1.42 Mac Mini with a Gig of ram. I'd like to play this game but first want to hear how well it will run on my comp. If you have a computer close to my specs could you post how well the game runs for you?

Well, in beta I got to level 60 on a G3 iBook 900.

That's a 900MHz G3, 32MB Radeon 7500, and a slow-ish 2.5" hard drive (I think it's 5400rpm).

The Mac Mini aces that in all regards, bar the hard drive. I think it would prove the biggest problem. When your RAM fills up and the machine starts to page, it's gonna resort to your VM on the HD, which is slow.

If you have an external firewire drive, you'd see a marked improvement.

Either way, even on dual G5 machines with X800's, people have problems.

Your machine is at the low end of the WoW performance spectrum, but it all depends on what you can tolerate.

I couldn't raid on my laptop, and couldn't do Stratholme, but everything else was... doable, I suppose.

If you know somebody else with the game, install it and give it a go on their account, I suggest, just so you know what to expect.

I've got the 1.5 ghz mini with 64mb vram 1gb ram and a 7200 hitachi 80gb (difficult to change the drive)

the vram overclock at + 30% (on my second mini I got only +10%)
with +30% you get +1 or +2 fps, and it raise the fan noise to an audible level.

about wow
jumping from 512mb to 1gb ram made the change from unplayable to FUN!
the overclock of the vram des not make big difference my fps are between 17 and 32 in outsice areas.

Ogrimmar and ironforge slow me down to 10fps when very full of people
however Booty Bay is really hard (2fps)

in caves it is frequent to see 40+ fps.

NOT ALL THE VIDEO SETTINGS MUST BE LOWERED !!
I play = 1280x720 60hz
texture detail = high (to see good arrows in the minimap)
the detail for herbs and small rocks is set to high also (no fps impact)

the fog distance is set at +1 or +2 graduation above minimum.

all other settings are at minimum.

I do not have much time to play I did one or two raids and the fps is not dropping below 17 fps.

I've tried wow on a 1.2 ghz mini 1gb ram and default hard drive, it was frustrating but playable.
32mb of vram is really not enough. expect no more than 10fps.

I want to know how well wow plays on a MINI INTEL, please !
