Nothing works now. Halo worked for a little while, then today I tried to install an update and it got confused too. Most of them try to start, then just give up. Some get as far as the splash screen, some actually start then die. WTF?

Games: UT2004 demo, Halo, Quake 1, Quake 2 (no sound, but it works).

I have a dual monitor set up, and know that Halo works. Your sig only mentions one video card - are you driving both monitors from the GeForce Ti? That might be your problem - in dual monitor mode, some cards divide their VRAM for each screen, and one screen might not have enough punch for the games you listed.

The only problems I've run into with dual monitors is that some games don't check for it, and can allow the cursor to wander off. Myst 3 was a particularly annoying example of that.

Yes, I'm running both monitors off the GeForce Ti. Halo *did* work for a while, then I attempted to install an update and it took a crap. tried reinstalling but now it just gets to the initial screen and dies.

UT2003 demo works still, but UT2004 won't even start.
