I tried using the StarCraft installer for OSX to install on a fresh 10.4.2. The install fails when the installer asks me to insert the StarCraft CD -- the CD will mount named 'STARCRAFT' and then unmount right away, as though the installer did not believe that the CD was the correct one.

Anyone know of a workaround?

Make sure you're not putting Brood War in first, as that's the expansion.

Thanks. I'm putting in the version 1.0 starcraft CD. I have the expansion too.

I'm not sure what else to try. I'm making an image of the CD. It mounts as "STARCRAFT" whereas the installer is looking for "StarCraft". Is there any way to make the mounted disk image have the mixed case name?

Other thought, starcraft was originally NOT a hybrid cd. If you switched to Mac recently and have the PC only version, there's your problem I'd think. Otherwise, no idea.
