I have a few questions about Counter Strike: Condition Zero...

1. I've seen CZ (for mac) on many sites, but I was wondering if anyone knew any big chain stores that carry it.

2. Will my PS2 USB headset work for the game?

That's really it, Thanks...

Really? When I googled "Counter Strike: Condition Zero, mac" there was a couple of store sites that came up with it with it saying: "Counter Strike: Condition Zero PC/MAC", it could have been some crappy store not knowing what their talking about.... it did look pretty legit, it was on: http://www.digitallyunique.com/70861.html

Nope, they are completely wrong. You should email that store and tell them.

Counter Strike is a mod for Half Life, so therefore Half Life would have to be available on the Mac, which means Havok would also have to be available on the Mac, but none of them ever will be....

What your saying is true depending on a few things. Counter Strike:Source uses the Havok engine. Counter Strike does not, it uses the original Half Life engine. The original Half Life engine does exist on the Mac in the form of the James Bond Nightfire game.

Go to the store. There are tons. Unreal Tournament has some cool mods. Return to Castle Wolfenstein was one of my favorites, but I doubt those servers is very active. World of Warcraft has me in it's grip though right now.

SWAT and Revolt mods for Call of Duty are sort of CS-like.

RTCW has both a single player game and a multi-player game. What you are describing is the single-player game. The multi-player game involves different classes of soldiers and working as a team to meet an objective or working as a team against a timer. I believe RTCW: Enemy Territory (or RTCW: ET) is available fully free - I may be wrong and you may need RTCW. Or secondly, I thinnk there may be a demo of RTCW.

I love both RTCW and UT2004.

RTCW:ET is completely free, and RTCW is not needed.

You can get it from us at Macologist.org, but you need to register, which is free.

Or, you could probably find it at MacGameFiles.com

Otherwise, try a Google search.

It is a mod, heck, it's THE mod, for Battlefield1942.... probably more popular than the actual game itself.

, You saying it's THE mod makes me want to get Battlefield 1942 just for the mod!

You wouldn't be alone... a lot of people buy BF1942 simply to play Desert Combat.

It's kinda like the CS for BF1942, as in, CS is more popular than the game it's modding, Half Life.

But, I guess the mod is still fairly buggy on the Mac... I don't own BF1942, so I don't know the exact details.

My specialty is Call of Duty.

Sounds cool, so far my only "specialty" is America's Army, I'm a "really good noob" and that title sucks I'd rather be a "crappy player"

That's better than I can say.... I get so bored in the training of America's Army, that I end up shooting one of my officers, and then get sent to a jail cell where I sit and play harmonica. lol
